Job summary

Sewer Equipment Co of America in Dixon, IL, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager Trainee. This travel-intensive role interacts with customers and dealers across territories to demonstrate equipment, educate on safety and features, and support field sales activities.

The position offers hands-on training, advancement into Inside/Outside Sales, and company-provided training for the CDL license. This is a full-time role with extensive travel and a focus on developing a career in heavy equipment

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills required.
• Willingness to travel frequently across assigned territories.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of engines, water pumps and vacuum systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Travel regularly to customer and dealer locations to demonstrate equipment operation, safety and benefits.
• Work closely with sales managers and dealer sales teams to support sales efforts in the field.
• Provide hands-on equipment demonstrations and training for customers and dealers.
• Transport, pick up, and deliver demo equipment safely using company trucks and trailers.
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure cleanliness of demo equipment, trucks, and trailers.
• Attend and work trade shows, field demos, and customer events.
• Communicate effectively with internal sales teams regarding customer needs and feedback.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
