Job summary

Atwell, LLC, a leading consulting, engineering, and construction services firm, seeks a Regional Safety Manager to oversee safety across a geographic region in the Western United States. This field-focused role supports ~200 field employees and partners with project teams to ensure safe operations.

Responsibilities include safety audits, training, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance across OSHA, EPA, DOT-PHMSA, MSHA, and related standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant safety experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health & Safety, or related discipline preferred.
• Experience across multiple active job sites.
• Experience with safety audits, training, investigations, hazard identification, or field safety programs.
• Working knowledge of applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• OSHA 30, CHST, or similar credential preferred; willingness to pursue.
• Experience in utilities or electric infrastructure is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight for field employees across an assigned region.
• Regularly visit project sites to maintain a visible safety presence.
• Conduct safety audits of personnel, equipment, and work practices.
• Review safe work plans and identify hazards.
• Deliver safety training for employees and subcontractors.
• Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT-PHMSA, MSHA and other requirements.
• Lead investigations into incidents and follow up with corrective actions.
• Partner with operational leaders to integrate safety into planning.
• Complete JHAs, Safe Work Permits, and safety documentation.
• Promote use of Atwell safety tools, policies, and processes.
• Identify safety trends and improvement opportunities for leadership.
