Job summary

Gateway Services Inc. is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to support operations across the Central region.

This field-facing role will partner directly with operational leaders, conduct workplace assessments and inspections, support incident investigations and help identify practical preventive actions to ensure safe, compliant operations. You will help bring Gateway's safety policies to life by translating requirements into actionable practices, working with Operations and HR teams, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• At least four years of safety experience in manufacturing or multi-site operations.
• Experience with workplace inspections, incident investigations and job-hazard analysis.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace assessments and inspections across regional sites.
• Support incident investigations and identify preventive actions.
• Translate safety requirements into practical actions for operations leaders.
• Partner with Operations, Fleet, HR and other Gateway teams to resolve safety issues.
• Develop and implement safety programs and campaigns, and support safety committees.
• Travel up to 50% to Gateway Care Centers and operational locations.
