Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of experience managing teams in a telecom technical environment.
• Strong skills in employee development including training, coaching and mentoring in a union environment.
• Computer skills including Excel, email, Word, and legacy systems.
• Knowledge of installation and maintenance of residential and business services, Local Network processes, and understanding of Century Link products is preferred.
• Knowledge of splicing and construction in telecom.
• Knowledge of contractor relations.
• Ability to work in a consultative manner: establish rapport, fact-find, present options, and follow-up.
• Experience in a multi-tasking, deadline-driven role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience with 5+ years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operation of outside and inside plant network services and technicians handling residential, business, central office installations and maintenance, plus design and splicing activities.
• Serve as single point of contact between Century Link and Contractors to resolve issues during construction/maintenance.
• Emphasize training, coaching and development on new processes, quality standards, customer contact, safety and cost control.
• Lead a team of technicians to meet attendance and performance standards.
• Represent Century Link to customers and governmental agencies.
• Collaborate with the union to achieve a win-win relationship.
• Celebrate successes and recognize performance appropriately.
• Motivate the team for continuous improvement and maximum performance.
