Job summary

Interface Systems seeks a Director of Regional Operations to oversee Field Operations in the designated region. The role combines leadership of installation, service, field project management, and inspections with a focus on customer satisfaction and profitability.

You will support sales with site surveys, ensure quality standards, mentor staff, and coordinate with PMO and dispatch to ensure seamless national installations and service.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; College education preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 5+ years' experience managing technical field operations personnel.
  • Understanding of profit/loss financial statements and how your team’s performance affects them.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and employee performance reviews.
  • Ability to work with variety of departments including IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Sales and Marketing.
  • Strategic planning to plan for the future and to avoid potential risk.
  • Strong problem avoidance and solving skills.
  • Schedule flexibility and willingness to travel overnight if required.
  • Ideal candidate will be based in St. Louis, MO; Los Angeles, CA; or within the Western Region of the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Field Operations within assigned geographical region.
  • Provide leadership for admin/operations including installation, service, field project management and inspections.
  • Support sales with site surveys and system proposals to quote correct hours and equipment.
  • Ensure installation and service quality standards and project profitability.
  • Recruit, hire and train installation and service personnel; mentor direct reports.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of installation and service personnel.
  • Coordinate fleet maintenance and enforce safety policies.
  • Oversee training, certification and licensing of technicians.
  • Coordinate with PMO for nationwide installations and projects.
  • Coordinate with Service Dispatch on service dispatching matters.
  • Address customer escalations promptly.
  • Maintain contact with top regional customers for satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory and sub-contractor coordination as needed.
  • Oversee handoff from sales to installation and to service.
  • Monitor overtime and costs; prepare management reports.

OverviewThe Director of Regional Operations will oversee all Field Operations within assigned geographical region. Director will provide management and leadership for the admin/operations department including installation, service, field project management and inspections within the designated region.
