Job summary

Bessemer Trust is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to lead regional facilities projects and oversee the operation and maintenance of our New York City offices. You will coordinate internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions, while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely project delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with oversight of building systems and vendor management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in facilities or project management, regional or multi-site preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Experience with physical security systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and vendors.
• Familiarity with Oracle, AutoCAD or Bluebeam Revu is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of construction, renovation, and relocation projects across regional offices.
• Oversee external partners to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and quality.
• Review construction documents, permitting, and inspections for compliance and readiness.
• Monitor timelines, budgets, risks, and key deliverables.
• Act as liaison between Facilities and IT, Security, Office Services, Marketing, and local managers.
• Serve as main contact for day-to-day facilities operations with property managers and landlords.
• Maintain records on building systems, vendor certifications, inspections, and compliance.
• Travel regionally as needed.
