Job summary

Extended Stay America is seeking an Area Maintenance Technician to lead and coach Maintenance Technicians across the region. You will oversee safety, maintenance, inventory, and regional processes to drive efficiency and reduce costs.

You will manage projects, partner with facility leaders, and ensure adherence to standards while supporting cross-functional teams across ESA properties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1–3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Willingness to continuously learn and apply industry trends to the business.
• Strong people and project management skills with outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of painting, drywall patching, caulking, flooring, plumbing and basic maintenance tasks.
• Ability to travel within the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, coaching and development to Maintenance Technicians within the region.
• Demonstrate accountability for safety, maintenance, parts inventory, and data quality.
• Lead maintenance projects with timelines, resources, and obstacle management.
• Coordinate with regional teams and vendors to support facility programs.
• Ensure work complies with state, federal, and company standards.
• Respond to emergencies as needed.
