Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking a Manager, Event Scheduling in Orlando, FL. This role leads a team of scheduling managers, labor coordinators, and other staff to ensure optimal staffing for Freeman events and projects, while driving efficiency and operational excellence.

The position supports the AV Production team and offers a hybrid schedule with in-office and show-site work 2-3 days per week out of Orlando. Travel 25-50% as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of show operations experience.
• Labor or staffing coordination experience preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll systems and payment methods for employees.
• Supervisory experience preferred; union experience is required.
• Familiar with Audio, Video, Lighting, Rigging and Scenic labor requirements.
• Strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail oriented and highly organized; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assign events and projects to Event Scheduling Managers and Labor Coordinators.
• Serve as labor SME for assigned cities or regions.
• Develop and implement labor policies for assigned areas.
• Supervise direct reports and provide guidance to maximize performance.
• Provide training and support for all direct reports.
• Partner with cross-divisional teams for recruiting, training, staffing.
• Assist with event labor budgeting.
• Identify partnerships with local market labor providers.
• Create a collaborative, results-driven team environment.
• Ensure city labor rates and jurisdictions are current.
• Assist in labor relations and contract administration.
• Recruit and qualify new event talent.
