Job summary

Orange EV in Columbus, OH is seeking an Electric Vehicle Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair and service local Orange EV vehicles. This role involves traveling for training, leveraging remote monitoring data, and delivering operator and maintenance training while supporting sales and customer service efforts.

A technical background and at least 1 year in automotive/electrical industries are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in automotive or electrical industries.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, TEAMS).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles by understanding systems and components.
• Represent Orange EV in a professional manner.
• Use Remote Monitoring System and Service Records to plan service.
• Record all service activity in the service record-keeping system.
• Communicate with customers and third parties to aid diagnosis.
• Coordinate with site manager and electrician on charging infrastructure.
• Evaluate conversion vehicle candidates and prepare reports.
• Support customers and third-party techs with repairs.
• Provide secure space for tools and parts.
• Deliver Operator and Maintenance training and assist sales.
• Travel as required for training and regional goals.
