Job summary

Orange EV in Nashville is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site service for local electric vehicles. You will diagnose and repair systems, review Remote Monitoring System data to identify performance concerns, record all service work, and develop reports while collaborating with customers and third-party providers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; related technical degree preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in automotive or electrical industries.
• Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and document work accurately.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally 75–100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Understand the vehicle system to diagnose and repair effectively.
• Represent Orange EV professionally with customers and partners.
• Use Remote Monitoring System and service records to plan a service approach.
• Record all service activity accurately in the service records system.
• Communicate with customers and third-party providers to aid diagnosis and escalation.
• Coordinate with site manager and electrician on charging infrastructure logistics.
• Evaluate vehicle conversion candidates and report findings.
• Support customers and third-party providers with ancillary repairs.
• Provide secure storage for tools and parts at the site.
• Deliver operator and maintenance training; support sales and business development.
• Travel as needed for training and to meet service goals.
