Pike Industries in Maine seeks an experienced Equipment Division leader to oversee all facets of the equipment program across field and plant operations. You will drive results, cultivate innovation, and partner with management to deliver reliable, safe, and cost-effective equipment solutions.

In this role, you will manage budgets, supervise staff, ensure compliance with MSHA/OSHA/DOT, and optimize equipment utilization while maintaining strong customer-focused service at job sites and plants

Formación

• Experience leading equipment or maintenance teams.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations (MSHA/OSHA/DOT).
• Ability to manage budgets and capex planning for equipment.
• Proven track record in allocating resources and improving utilization.
• Effective communication with operations and field personnel.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain strong communication with operational managers to meet equipment needs.
• Attend local staff meetings to support operations.
• Collaborate with Equipment Personnel to improve purchasing, safety ideas and utilization.
• Manage cost control for rolling stock equipment; authorize parts purchases and outside repairs.
• Ensure maintenance and preventive maintenance are completed on time and billed accurately.
• Maximize equipment and mechanic utilization and monitor unbilled hours.
• Inspect equipment at job sites and schedule repairs to prevent failures.
• Ensure shop paperwork (POs, work orders, time cards) is accurate and filed.
• Assist Director of Equipment with annual capex and repair budgets.
• Ensure maintenance facilities comply with MSHA, OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Identify and resolve regulatory and safety issues promptly.
• Enforce safety rules and conduct toolbox talks; promote safety initiatives.
• Assist with annual training programs and maintain tidy facilities.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations of direct reports.
• Adhere to federal and state regulations as applicable.
