Job summary

Pike Industries, Inc. in Belmont, NH, is seeking an Equipment Manager for the Belmont area. You will oversee all facets of the equipment division and work with operation managers to meet equipment needs.

The role emphasizes safety, maintenance oversight, budgeting, and field presence with regular site visits and collaboration with other Equipment personnel. Ideal candidates have supervisory experience and an associate degree or equivalent, plus strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Strong reading, writing and communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong communication with operational managers to ensure equipment needs are met.
• Attend local staff meetings to support operations.
• Collaborate with Equipment Personnel to improve purchasing, safety ideas, and utilization.
• Oversee cost control for rolling stock equipment and approve parts, outside repairs, and shop tools.
• Ensure repairs and preventive maintenance are completed on time and manage outside repairs for accurate billing.
• Maximize equipment and mechanic utilization and monitor unbilled hours.
• Inspect equipment in the field and schedule repairs to prevent failures.
• Complete shop paperwork on time (POs, work orders, time cards, miles).
• Assist the Director of Equipment with annual capex and repair budgets.
• Ensure facilities comply with MSHA, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
