Job summary

STV in New York is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineering leader to act as a technical lead and project manager across regional projects. The role emphasizes talent development, strategic direction, and growth of the NY Environmental Engineering practice.

You will manage complex remediation designs, coordinate with regulators and clients, and drive digital delivery while maintaining high billability. Travel to project sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in environmental or civil engineering; NY PE license required
• 15+ years of relevant environmental regulation, remediation design and compliance experience
• Proven experience in environmental engineering, design, and project management
• Proficiency in environmental modeling software, GIS, AutoCAD, and related tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Strong problem-solving, detail orientation, and task prioritization abilities
• Experience managing multiple phases of environmental projects including schedule, cost, quality and client relationships
• Experience with design plans and specs for sub-slab depressurization systems (SSDS) and gas vapor barriers (GVB) is a plus
• Experience with SWPPP, MTA as Environmental Manager and NYC School Construction Authority a plus
• Willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead and project manager on regional projects
• Assess and develop the NY team talent, build skills, and grow the practice
• Lead environmental engineering and design projects with strategic direction
• Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget
• Coordinate resources and promote innovation and digital delivery
• Lead quality initiatives for the Environmental Engineering Practice
• Support business development including proposals and client presentations
• Develop technical reports, drawings, and remediation designs
• Coordinate with regulators, stakeholders, and contractors for permits and approvals
• Maintain high billability/utilization and foster a culture of collaboration
