Job summary

Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics seeks a NorthCARES Network Director to provide strategic leadership, regional coordination, and sustainability planning for EMS across rural, frontier, and Tribal communities in north central South Dakota. The role aligns agencies, resources, and initiatives to strengthen workforce capacity and quality of care.

The Director reports to MRH&C CEO and NorthCARES Leadership Council, chairs meetings, and advances council-approved programs while preserving agency

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate degree or equivalent; five years EMS/rural healthcare or related field.
• Three years of supervisory or complex project management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative initiatives and manage priorities.
• Valid driver's license and regional travel ability.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or master's in related field; EMT certification; nonprofit governance or grant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and governance for NorthCARES network.
• Lead regional planning, budget recommendations, and shared resources while respecting agency independence.
• Coordinate workforce development, education programs, and shared education resources.
• Develop sustainable funding strategies, philanthropy, and alternative revenue opportunities.
• Oversee grant activities, reporting, and accountability with MRH&C and partners.
• Foster collaboration with Tribal governments, hospitals, EMS services, and state partners.
