Job summary

Florida Department of Children and Families is seeking an Eligibility Supervisor – SES to lead the regional ESS team from Pensacola to Tallahassee. The role focuses on supervising Economic Self-Sufficiency Specialists, guiding eligibility determinations, interviews and counseling to assist families.

The incumbent will train staff, monitor performance and ensure alignment with agency goals, policy requirements and customer service standards. Strong communication and data skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years or more paraprofessional experience in eligibility, interviews, counseling, or customer service.
• OR an associate’s degree.
• OR 60 semester or 90 quarter hours substitute for experience.
• Minimum two years of ESS processing experience as ESS I or II.
• Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Economic Self-Sufficiency Specialists and evaluate performance.
• Plan and direct work to enhance customer service and agency goals.
• Provide coaching and ensure compliance with policy and background checks.
