Job summary

The Florida Department of Children and Families seeks a Region Program Director for the Economic Self Sufficiency Program in the Suncoast Region. This role leads ESS operations across 11 counties, overseeing SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid eligibility services.

Reporting to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for ESS Operations, the position supervises regional leadership teams and drives performance through data analysis while implementing organizational change. Travel throughout the region is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of senior-level management experience, including leading large teams through organizational change.
• Experience interpreting and applying rules, policies and regulations.
• Experience managing multi-site operations with strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making.
• Willingness to travel throughout the region and to DCF Headquarters.
• Preferred: government assistance program experience, budget and contract management.

The position leads and manages multi-site ESS operations across 11 counties (Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, DeSoto, Charlotte, Glades, Lee, Hendry, and Collier), overseeing SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid eligibility services. Reports to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for ESS Operations and supervises regional leadership teams while driving performance through data analysis and implementing organizational change.

Key qualifications:

• Must be a current DCF employee
• Minimum three years of senior-level management experience, including leading large teams through organizational change
• Experience interpreting and applying rules, policies and regulations
• Managing multi-site operations and strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the region and to DCF Headquarters
• Preferred: government assistance program experience, budget and contract management, and bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
