Role OverviewThe Regional EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) Specialist will play a critical role in supporting PAC's projects across multiple client sites. This position will lead safety initiatives, perform compliance audits, and guide operational teams on best practices to promote a culture of safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and minimize risk.
This is a travel-based role with work across multiple regions and client facilities. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in EHS program management, industrial safety, and regulatory compliance, particularly within construction, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local, and client-specific regulations
- Implement and enforce site-specific safety programs, procedures, and policies
- Collaborate with project managers and client safety teams to proactively identify and mitigate safety risks
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning
- Develop and deliver safety training for PAC and subcontractor personnel
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance metrics
- Support emergency response planning, drills, and hazard assessments
- Ensure the availability and proper use of PPE and safety equipment at project sites
- Track leading and lagging safety indicators to drive continuous improvement
RequirementsRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a field or project-based environment (e.g., construction, logistics, manufacturing)
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with client teams and tradespeople
- Comfortable with regional travel and boots-on-the-ground work at active job sites
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management tools
Preferred Qualifications- Certifications: OSHA 30, CHST, ASP, or CSP preferred
- Experience with incident management systems and safety auditing tools
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
