Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Regional Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager. This role drives the implementation of EHS programs to foster a proactive safety culture across sites, partners with leadership and field teams, and focuses on reducing injuries while aligning with regulatory requirements.

The Manager will lead environmental and safety program development, partner with regional teams, and implement training and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years of experience; alternative combinations may apply such as a master's with 4 years, a Ph.D. with 1 year, or 8 years in the field.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster buy-in of new initiatives across all levels of the organization.
• Experience performing risk assessments and Safe Work Practices (Standard Work).
• Experience with data analysis and visualization; familiarity with databases, data structures, and queries.

Responsibilities

• Drive the operational implementation of EHS programs to build a proactive safety culture.
• Collaborate with CAI Safety Teams focusing on leading and lagging indicators; participate in incident investigations.
• Partner with Lean Daily Management teams to align safety measurements with Cox Automotive culture.
• Establish timelines and action closure for corrective actions from inspections and recommendations.
• Develop and implement environmental policies and improvement plans aligned with standards and regulations.
• Work with auction site partners to develop and implement training for safety practices.
• Develop incident response plans including reporting, review, and communication of findings.
