Job summary

Ryerson is seeking a Regional EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety compliance across multiple markets in the United States. You will provide leadership, supervise multimarket staff, and ensure programs meet Federal, State, Local, and Customer requirements.

This role focuses on driving a zero-harm culture, using data to identify risks, coaching managers, and reporting progress to Regional Presidents.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health and safety, safety engineering technology, industrial hygiene, or related field.
• 8–10 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or distribution, building policies and training.
• Self-directed, professional, dependable; able to use data to assess risks.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other regulatory bodies.
• Ability to coach, train, and lead teams; meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to advance safety initiatives and supervise multimarket staff.
• Develop, deploy, and monitor EHS programs meeting regulatory and customer requirements.
• Advise and train managers on responsibilities in the Safety Program.
• Provide regular reports of progress to Regional Presidents.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety culture and zero-harm mentality.
• Participate in Company Safety Council projects and transfer SOPs to markets.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Environment, Health, Safety and Quality.
