Job summary

Ryerson, a leading provider of industrial metal products and services since 1842, seeks an EHS Manager to lead compliance across multiple markets. You will provide leadership to ensure regulatory adherence for locations within the region and engage employees at all levels to grow the EHS program.

The role requires a BS in health and safety or related field, 8–10 years in manufacturing or distribution EHS, data-driven risk reduction, and strong coaching and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree required in health and safety or related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA and other federal/state regulations.
• Strong data analysis and risk reduction planning skills.
• Proven ability to coach, train, and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to advance safety, health, and welfare initiatives; supervise multi-market staff.
• Develop, deploy, and monitor EHS programs, policies, and standards for compliance.
• Advise managers on their roles in the EHS program and provide training.
• Conduct root-cause analysis to identify hazards and implement best practices.
• Assess EHS performance, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
• Promote a zero-harm safety culture and drive continuous safety improvements.
• Report progress to Regional Presidents and participate in Safety Council activities.
