Job summary

The Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry seeks a Regional Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to advance EHS performance across multiple manufacturing facilities in the region. This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, and site leadership to identify and reduce risk, strengthen EHS systems, and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related safety/science field and 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Multi-site experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
• Ability to influence and partner with Operations and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain EHS programs across multiple locations.
• Coach Operations and site leaders on EHS practices.
• Lead investigations of injuries, incidents, and near-misses using HOP principles.
• Conduct safety and environmental audits, risk assessments, and field observations.
• Support environmental compliance (air permitting, stormwater, SPCC, RCRA).
• Drive employee engagement, training, and continuous improvement in EHS.
• Share lessons learned and best practices across locations.
• Travel ~25% to support sites and events.
