Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on Regional EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across multiple manufacturing facilities in the Kansas City region. The role emphasizes coaching on the shop floor, risk assessment, and implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 aligned standards.

You will standardize EHS systems, drive continuous improvement, and partner with plant leadership to strengthen safety culture while managing regulatory compliance and incident

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 7–10 years of EHS leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading multiple facilities and improving safety culture.
• Experience implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and incident investigations.
• Willingness to travel 40–60% regionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS strategy and performance for multiple facilities.
• Standardize EHS programs, audits, reporting, and management systems.
• Develop and deploy regional EHS plans aligned with corporate goals.
• Coaching on the manufacturing floor and risk reduction activities.
• Lead investigations of injuries and high-potential events using RCA.
