Job summary

AprilAire is seeking a Distribution Sales Manager to shape and execute the regional distribution strategy, partnering with distributors to drive home comfort solutions to HVAC contractors and homeowners.

You will own distributor development, coordinate with marketing, and align regional plans with national growth objectives. This role involves significant travel and a home-office setup when not in the field.

Qualifications

• Experience running your own sales operating plan without significant management oversight.
• Ability to analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities.
• Proven history of partnering with other functions to establish pull-through sales leads.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities to connect with customers.
• Ability to learn the industry, competitors, and market trends.
• Experience negotiating complex deals and creating partnerships with key accounts.
• Skilled at establishing credibility and developing strong relationships with clients.
• Organizational and multi-priority management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Act as owner for the regional distribution strategy and execution within all channel segments.
• Manage existing distributor accounts and add new distribution accounts to meet sales objectives.
• Execute National Distributor plans at the local level as directed.
• Develop and execute annual account sales plans to meet revenue and sell-through goals.
• Collaborate with Channel Marketing to implement programs with distributors and regional divisions.
• Coordinate activity with local and regional distributors, including branch activity, displays, training, promotions, and sales.
• Submit monthly reports on distribution activities and progress to annual sales.
• Oversee requests for new distribution and recommend additions.
• Monitor industry/geography changes and advise on market share strategies.
• Present new product opportunities with rationale, market size, competition, pricing, and channels.
