Daybreak Foods is seeking a Director of Operations for Wisconsin and Illinois, overseeing poultry production, packaging, and processing across facilities. The candidate will drive operational excellence, develop leaders, and ensure animal welfare, food safety, and customer service standards are met while optimizing profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in poultry science, agriculture, operations management, business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• Strong leadership and people-management experience across multiple facilities.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, forecast financial results, and drive profitability.
• Excellent communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional operations to achieve production, processing, quality, service, and financial goals.
• Establish clear expectations, performance measures, and operating plans for each facility.
• Oversee conventional caged and cage‑free layer operations; pullet rearing where assigned.
• Oversee shell egg receiving, grading, packing, storage, and shipping; egg breaking and processing.
• Own regional operating performance; lead budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and capital planning.
• Build and develop a capable regional leadership team and ensure safety and compliance.
