Job summary

Gardant is seeking a Regional Director of Operations for Central Indiana to oversee communities across the region. You will work with the Executive Director to set goals, supervise Community Executives, and drive performance and compliance with regulatory standards.

The role requires strong healthcare leadership, budget oversight, and the ability to travel as needed. You will be responsible for improving quality, safety, and operational efficiency while supporting teams with day-to-day guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years healthcare experience with multi-site management.
• Thorough knowledge of state, federal and local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license with good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provides general oversight and guidance to Community Executive Director.
• Establishes, with the Executive Director, the Community’s goals and objectives.
• Assists in developing and implementing organizational, financial, marketing plans, policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with the Executive Director in preparing and controlling annual budget.
• Evaluates adherence to regulations and operating procedures.
• Reviews insurance coverage and provides recommendations to ownership.
• Acts as on-call resource to Communities and Gardant 24/7 for urgent matters.
• Monitors accounts receivable activities and billing processes.
• Performs quarterly and annual performance evaluations.
• Supports staff development activities and training.
• Participates in department manager interviews and hiring.
• Monitors Quality Improvement and safety programs.
• Maintains on-site consultative visit schedule with leadership.
• Provides on-site support in absence of Executive Director.
• Completes quarterly on-site visits and reports to ensure KPI achievement.
• Evaluates overall operations including daily standups, rent readiness, and TELS compliance.

Job description

This Regional Director of Operations- Central Indiana role will support communities around the central Indiana region.

Responsibilities

• Provides general oversight and guidance to Community Executive Director
• Establishes, in conjunction with the Executive Director , the Community’s goals and objectives
• Assists Executive Director in developing and implementing organizational, financial, marketing plans, policies and procedures
• Collaborates with the Executive Director in preparing and controlling annual budget
• Evaluates the Community’s adherence to all applicable regulations and approved operating procedures
• Reviews Community’s liability, property, and compensation insurance coverage and provides recommendations to ownership
• Acts as an on-call resource to the Communities and Gardant on a 24-hour basis to address urgent matters
• Reviews and monitors account receivable activities at each Community to ensure collection and billing process/policies are adhered to
• Conducts formal performance evaluations at the end of the introductory period and on an annual basis
• Supports in the planning and provision of informational in-services and other staff development activities
• Participates in department manager interviews and the hiring process
• Monitors Community’s Quality Improvement and safety programs
• Maintains a schedule of on-site consultative visits with Executive Director and department managers
• Provides onsite day-to-day support in absence of an Executive Director
• Completes a minimum of quarterly on-site visit for each Community and provides oral and written feedback to Executive Director to ensure Community is meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Evaluates overall operations including, but not limited to, ensuring compliance with daily standup meetings, call light review, QAPI program, rent readiness, finance & revenue accounting and TELS compliance
  Meets with community ownership representative(s) on an ongoing, periodic basis concerning the overall performance and status of the Community

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred
• 5 years healthcare experience required with multi-site management experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of state, federal and local regulations .
• Valid driver’s licensed with record in good standing per insurance vendor
• Position will require extensive travel and overnight stays and the ability to work on a team and with a team of diverse professionals who value love, compassion, and dignity.
