Planet Fitness - Excel Fitness is seeking a Regional Director of Operations to lead multiple locations within the assigned region. You will drive profitability, guest experience, and cultural health by coaching store leaders, shaping regional strategies, and ensuring brand standards across all sites.

The role requires 6+ years in operations leadership, 2+ years multi-unit management, travel up to 75%, and a track record of achieving sales and service goals.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years progressive operations leadership experience; 2+ years multi-unit management.
• Proven track record of leading multiple locations to meet sales, profitability and customer-service goals.
• Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership and managing COGS, labor, and operating budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing leaders and teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build trust.
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for profitable operation of all locations within the region.
• Develop and execute regional strategies to achieve financial, operational, and customer-service goals.
• Lead, coach, and hold accountable multi-unit and store managers within the region.
• Maintain a visible, regular presence across locations to reinforce processes and performance.
• Own the region’s profit and loss, overseeing COGS, labor, and revenue targets.
• Monitor regional performance metrics and implement corrective action plans.
• Ensure locations meet service and quality standards and guest experience targets.
• Mentor high-potential managers to build a strong leadership pipeline.
• Collaborate with training and operations teams on company-wide initiatives.
• Support openings and ramp-ups of new locations within the region.
• Ensure compliance with policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Be approachable and provide timely support to field leaders and teams.
• Attend required leadership meetings to align with company goals.
