Job summary

BaneCare Management, a locally owned operator of nine skilled nursing and two assisted living communities in Massachusetts, seeks a Regional Director of Operations to lead our multi-site portfolio. This role drives census growth, financial performance, and regulatory compliance across facilities, with local travel throughout the state.

You will mentor Administrators, oversee budgets and staffing, partner with admissions, marketing and clinical teams, and report to the CEO.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts LNHA license required.
• Multi-site and regional operational experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in skilled nursing.
• Experience managing budgets, labor, census, occupancy, and overall facility performance.
• Strong understanding of skilled nursing operations, reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and survey readiness.
• Strong analytical, financial, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel regularly throughout Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and accountability to facility Administrators and leadership teams.
• Drive census growth and occupancy by partnering with admissions, marketing, and clinical teams to identify opportunities and strengthen referral relationships.
• Monitor census, admissions, payer mix, labor, staffing, expenses, and other key operational metrics.
• Manage facility budgets and financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve revenue, control expenses, and achieve operating goals.
• Review monthly financial results and partner with leadership teams to develop corrective action plans when performance is below target.
• Support Administrators in developing and executing facility-specific operational and census growth strategies.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective labor management while maintaining quality resident care.
• Maintain strong standards for regulatory compliance, survey readiness, quality outcomes, and resident satisfaction.
• Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions that improve performance and efficiency.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop facility leaders while creating a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Partner with clinical, finance, HR, recruitment, marketing, and other corporate departments to support facility needs.
• Evaluate capital needs, operational investments, and resource allocation.
• Track key performance indicators and provide regular performance updates and recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices affecting skilled nursing and senior living operations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
