Qualifications

Responsibilities

Regional Director of Operations

Summary: Responsible for directing the clinical rehabilitation operations of multiple practices within a geographic market under the supervision of the Regional Vice President (RVP). The RDO is responsible for achieving specific financial, employee relations, customer service, and clinical objectives through strong leadership and effective management of staff and customers. Maintains professional conduct, including positive interaction and rapport with facilities and clients. Represents Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to quality & service in all interactions and adheres to company policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and deploy clinical staff to meet facility program needs.
  • Direct the provision of quality patient care and provide patient care skills development opportunities as appropriate.
  • Ensure Reliant Rehabilitation and Customer Policies and Procedures, and Patient Care Standards are met in assigned facilities.
  • Implement and manage staffing objectives for the geographic area.
  • Serve as a clinical resource by line of business (e.g., therapy type) and conduct routine clinical/compliance audits.
  • Manage caseload management and scheduling of patients within facilities.
  • Review and analyze facility case mix and contribution margin.
  • Communicate with facility staff and referral sources for clinical information.
  • Develop plans of action for deficiencies noted in audits and investigations.
  • Manage new facility start-ups and labor costs within the geographic area.
  • Meet or exceed financial objectives and develop financial goals.
  • Handle day-to-day customer issues and work towards satisfactory resolutions.
  • Develop corrective plans for risks or concerns and ensure good outcomes.
  • Implement documentation peer review systems.
  • Monitor and accomplish employee retention objectives.
  • Travel up to 75% as needed, including between facilities during scheduled hours.
  • Work varying hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Maintain compliance with current license discipline requirements.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Associates degree or higher in OT, PT, or SLP required.
  • Minimum of five years clinical experience, including at least three years in patient care and one to two years in clinical management.
  • Multi-site management or Area Manager/Regional experience preferred.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic internet navigation.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid credentials meeting state regulatory requirements for practice in the assigned state.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff across multiple facilities, including training, scheduling, coaching, resolving issues, maintaining personnel records, and assisting with discipline and termination processes.
