Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Director of Design Management to lead regional design efforts for hyperscale data centers. This on-site role will drive lifecycle design from concept to construction, collaborating with Market Development, Engineering, and Delivery teams to deliver scalable, efficient solutions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in design management, strong MEP and built environment knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of design management experience in mission-critical facilities.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across design, engineering and delivery.
• Strong business acumen with ability to balance technical performance and commercial outcomes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a track record of leadership.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional design efforts and optimize lifecycle of data center design.
• Align design execution with customer and business needs from concept through construction.
• Manage end-to-end design process for regional projects including master planning and detailed design.
• Coordinate internal and external design teams and ensure constructability and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide regional insights and reporting on design progress to senior leadership.
