Job summary

Meta designs, builds, leases, and operates data centers; it seeks a Director of Regional Development to grow Meta’s nationwide data center portfolio in line with AI objectives and strategic capacity targets. You will own regional development, site selection, and delivery across North America, guiding multi-party deals to scale capacity.

Lead design, engineering, construction, network, and legal teams, while mentoring staff and aligning with executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in industrial real estate, infrastructure and development.
• 8+ years managing regional programs.
• Proven multi-party deal delivery for data center capacity.
• Strong negotiation and leadership in complex deals.
• Experience opening new markets for data center capacity.
• Strategic thinker with stakeholder influence.
• Analytical, fast-paced, cross-functional leader.
• Knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

• Grow and lead the regional development program including development and capacity delivery opportunities.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, construction, network, and legal to execute capacity targets.
• Guide strategic development approaches to new capacity while mitigating risk and ensuring contingency plans.
• Accountable for data center site selection and development within North America.
• Deliver cost effective capacity with flexibility and optionality.
• Represent Meta with executives from suppliers, governments, and regulators.
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor internal staff for career development.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (25%+).
