Job summary

Meta designs, builds, leases, and operates the most innovative data centers in the world. Meta is seeking a Director of Regional Development to lead the regional data center portfolio and align it with the company’s AI objectives, with overall responsibility for capacity delivery in the North American region.

You will identify sites, structure deals, oversee cross‑functional teams, and manage risk. Travel 25%+ is expected as you collaborate with suppliers, governments, and regulators while

Qualifications

• 15+ years in industrial real estate, infrastructure and development.
• Proven multi-party deal execution delivering data center capacity.
• 8+ years leading regional programs and organizations.
• Experience negotiating complex deals with land, energy and third-party capacity.
• Proven ability to lead large capital projects and open new markets.

Responsibilities

• Grow and lead the regional development program and capacity delivery opportunities.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, construction, network, and legal to execute capacity targets.
• Guide strategic development while mitigating risk and ensuring contingency plans.
• Own data center site selection and development within North America.
• Deliver cost-effective capacity with flexibility and optionality.
• Represent Meta in meetings with suppliers, governments, and regulators.
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor staff; promote learning and career growth.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (25%+).
