Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a Critical Environment Regional Engineering Manager to lead mission-critical operations across a regional portfolio, including data centers and other 24/7 facilities in New York. You will drive uptime, reliability, and safety while guiding multi-site engineering teams.

You will partner with clients and vendors, implement preventive and predictive maintenance, manage changes via ServiceNow, and monitor metrics like MTBF and PUE to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience managing mission-critical engineering operations.
• 3+ years of leadership experience overseeing engineering teams within 24/7/365 environments.
• Experience with UPS, emergency power, precision cooling, electrical distribution, fire suppression, and building automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional critical environment engineering operations across multiple facilities to ensure uptime and adherence to standards.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Chief Engineers, engineering teams, and site leadership; foster accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee maintenance strategies and readiness for UPS, generators, cooling, electrical equipment, and building automation platforms.
• Serve as senior escalation point during incidents; coordinate responses, root cause analyses and client communications.
• Manage change processes, including MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, and ServiceNow changes for mission-critical activities.
• Conduct regional inspections, audits, redundancy tests, and regulatory/compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders on initiatives, lifecycle planning, and sustainability efforts.
• Monitor uptime metrics (MTBF/MTTR/PUE/thermal) to drive optimization and informed decisions.
