Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Manager III, Technology Operations Engineering in the Data Center Construction team to lead a group of Construction Managers delivering data center capacity across a regional portfolio. You will own the construction lifecycle from pre-construction through procurement to onsite execution, driving safety, cost, quality, and schedule.

The role requires approximately 50% travel to construction sites within the region and the candidate must be a US citizen.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience.
• 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience in construction and project execution.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in critical data center operations (feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS, PDU, chillers, pumps, AHU, CRAC).
• Experience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, and develop a team of Construction Managers and Project Engineers.
• Own regional construction program delivery with metrics and workflows for safety, cost, quality, and schedule across multiple data center projects.
• Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to develop capital budgets and coordinate land and facility acquisition.
• Identify risks and opportunities, balancing short-term delivery with long-term improvements.
• Establish process improvements to reduce cost and duration while maintaining quality and reliability.
