Job summary

OBR Management in Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking a Cooling Tower Technician for the Great Lakes Region to support construction, installation, and repair of cooling towers across projects. Extensive travel may be required depending on location and duration.

The role involves reading blueprints, installing mechanical equipment, and using hand and power tools while maintaining safety and quality standards. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required; OSHA 10 is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 training (preferred).
• Experience in an industrial workplace.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform duties and follow site procedures.
• Assist installation of mechanical equipment (motors, fans, gear boxes, drive shafts).
• Read blueprints or plans and liaise with Foreman for direction.
• Assist material selection and layout preparation.
• Use measuring tools to mark cuts and assemble materials.
• Assist with cutting, shaping, and assembly of components.
• Assist with piping and nozzle installations and framework erection.
• Support project teams and adapt to tasks assigned by supervision.
