Job summary

OBR Cooling Towers, LLC is seeking a Cooling Tower Cleaning Technician to join our Great Lakes Region team. You will perform cleaning and preventive tasks on both package and field-erected cooling tower equipment, under the supervision of foremen and superintendents to ensure safe and efficient operation.

The role requires travel, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks outdoors in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test required
• Valid Driver's License and proof of U.S. Citizenship
• Satisfactory background check
• DISA background screen score 2 or less

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks with precision and attention to detail to ensure equipment quality
• Proficient in the safe operation of power washers, with knowledge of appropriate spray head selection and usage
• Follow instructions from supervisors to support safe, efficient, and timely project completion
• Uphold OBR’s standards of safety, efficiency, and quality throughout all phases of work
• Work diligently to maintain high cleaning standards without compromising project timeliness or safety
• Perform pre- and post-treatment activities, including accurate measurement of free chlorine levels in cooling tower circulating water
• Demonstrate professionalism, a positive attitude, and technical competence in daily duties
• Complete Task Hazard Analysis (THA) cards and other safety documentation accurately and on schedule
• Read, interpret, and apply information from Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS); practice proper chemical handling techniques
• Perform work at heights while maintaining 100% tie-off when above 4 feet
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Superintendent, Field Managers, Area Managers, or Foreman
