Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) in California seeks a Regional Controller to oversee the finance department including General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Decision Support, ensuring proper use of resources.

The role collaborates with hospital departments, participates in Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain, and supports strategic planning and business development with an eye toward executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience coordinating and/or supervising acute care hospital/medical center finance staff including: Accounts Payable, Decision Support, General Ledger and Payroll.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong computer hardware/software skills required.
• Completion of training programs, as required.
• Travel throughout our Southern California Market required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight of the finance department including General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Decision Support staff.
• Interact with Hospital departments to ensure proper utilization and accounting of capital and operating resources.
• Participate in Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain components within the organization.
• Support strategic planning, analysis and business development toward an executive leadership track.
