Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is recruiting for a Controller at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX, a major acute care hospital with a broad service mix.

The Controller will oversee the finance department including General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Decision Support, and will coordinate across departments to ensure proper utilization of resources and compliant reporting. Minimum 5+ years in hospital finance leadership, knowledge of GAAP, and a bachelor’s degree are required;

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience coordinating and/or supervising acute care hospital/medical center finance staff including Accounts Payable, Decision Support, General Ledger and Payroll.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Computer hardware/software skills required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the finance department including General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Decision Support.
• Interact with all hospital departments to ensure proper utilization and accounting of capital and operating resources.
• Participate in Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain components such as Business Office, Care Management, Health Information Management, Clinical Documentation Improvement, and Materials Management.
