Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is seeking a Regional Controller to oversee finance operations for the Southern California market. The role focuses on General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Decision Support while partnering with hospital departments to ensure proper utilization of resources.

The position emphasizes development toward executive financial leadership, including strategy, analysis, and business development, with regular travel across the Southern California market.

Qualifications

• 5+ years coordinating and supervising acute care hospital/medical center finance staff including: Accounts Payable, Decision Support, General Ledger and Payroll.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Bachelor’s degree; CPA preferred.
• Regular travel throughout our Southern California Market required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the finance department including General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Decision Support staff.
• Interact with Hospital departments ensuring proper utilization and accounting of capital and operating resources in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Participate in Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain components such as Business Office, Care Management, Health Information Management, and Materials Management/Supply Chain.
• Contribute to strategic planning, analysis, and business development as part of leadership development toward an executive financial role.
