Job summary

Harper GC is seeking a Divisional Safety Manager to lead day-to-day safety across Commercial and Industrial projects in SC, NC, and VA. You will enforce safety standards, conduct site inspections, and manage incident response in coordination with project teams and Trade Partners.

The role requires OSHA 30, five years of construction safety experience, and strong leadership to drive continual safety improvements across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of construction safety experience with site-level oversight.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field (preferred) / equivalent experience.
• OSHA 30 Construction; First Aid/CPR certification; CSP/CHST/ OSHA500 preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and guidance for projects; conduct job-site safety observations and enforce company safety standards.
• Stop work authority to address imminent hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor high-risk activities: Fall protection, Excavation/trenching, Cranes and rigging, Concrete operations, Heavy equipment.
• Implement and maintain project-level safety plans consistent with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and develop corrective actions.
• Provide safety orientation and ongoing training (OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR).
• Promote a culture of safety through communication and engagement.
• Manage assigned safety budget and procure safety equipment.
• Maintain safety documentation and reporting; track KPIs.
