Job summary

Jamail & Smith Construction, LP is seeking a Regional Manager to lead the Austin Region and drive growth across Central Texas. This role suits a Senior Project Manager ready to advance to regional leadership or a seasoned construction leader seeking ownership of a region.

You will oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, and staff, partnering with executive leadership to align on strategy, budgets, and growth targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in Senior PM/Project Executive/Regional Manager or similar leadership roles.
• Job Order Contracting (JOC) experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in K-12, higher education, government or municipal/public-sector construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall operations, performance, and profitability of the Austin Region.
• Manage and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and regional team members.
• Oversee projects to ensure schedule, budget, quality, and safety expectations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients across Central Texas.
• Partner with executive leadership to establish regional goals, budgets, forecasts, and growth strategies.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams through preconstruction, construction, and closeout.
• Monitor project financial performance and identify risks before they impact the region.
• Grow relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure use of company processes and Procore across projects.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, mentoring, and development of regional employees.
• Identify opportunities for new work and expand Jamail & Smith's presence in Austin market.

About the Job-

Jamail & Smith is looking for a Regional Manager to lead our Austin Region and continue growing our presence throughout Central Texas. This opportunity could be a great fit for a Senior Project Manager who is ready to take the next step into regional leadership, or a seasoned construction leader looking for the opportunity to take ownership of a region and its success.

As Regional Manager, you'll oversee the people, projects, clients, and overall performance of the Austin Region. You'll lead Project Managers, Superintendents, and support staff while working closely with executive leadership and our corporate teams. We're looking for someone who understands construction operations, knows how to build strong teams and client relationships, and wants the opportunity to have a direct impact on the growth of a region.

What You Will Do-

What You Bring to the Table-

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience, with progressive project or operational responsibility.
• Experience as a Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, Regional Manager, or similar construction leadership role, required.
• Experience managing and developing construction teams.
• Job Order Contracting (JOC) experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with K-12, higher education, government, municipal, or other public-sector construction, required.
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, estimating, subcontractor management, and construction operations.
• Proven ability to build strong client and industry relationships.
• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Existing relationships within the Austin/Central Texas construction community are a plus!
