Job summary

Viceroy Washington DC & Hotel Zena seeks an Area Conference Services Manager to lead planning for groups and events from turnover to execution. You will maximize revenue while ensuring the highest service standards across departments, acting as the primary client contact post-sale.

The role requires 3+ years in luxury hospitality (or a related 2-year degree plus 3 years of luxury hotel experience), strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in booking and event software;

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar luxury hospitality role or a 2-year college degree with 3 years luxury hotel experience.
• Strong presentation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Tables, Delphi and OPERA; ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs for sales and catering/conference services; review contracts with sales manager before first client contact.
• Manage group room blocks and ensure reservations by cutoff dates; handle rooming lists and billing.
• Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and resumes; ensure accuracy and timely distribution.
• Coordinate and host tastings; prepare detailed event charge estimates for clients.
• Oversee all event details with operations to ensure top service and revenue capture.
• Attend site inspections and review groups/events to upsell and meet revenue goals.
