Job summary

Viceroy Washington DC is seeking an Assistant Human Resources Manager to support HR operations for both Viceroy Washington DC and Hotel Zena. You will lead day-to-day activities in recruitment, employee relations, compliance, payroll coordination, and colleague engagement to align with company standards and DC regulations.

The role requires discretion, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information in a fast-paced luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of Human Resources experience, luxury hospitality preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and DC employment laws (FLSA, ADA, FMLA).
• Experience managing employee relations and performance processes.
• Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems.
• Strong communication skills and professional discretion.
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with department leaders to execute full-cycle recruitment and onboarding.
• Provide guidance on performance management and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with federal and DC employment laws and audits.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and personnel documentation.
• Support payroll, timekeeping review, and benefits administration.
• Assist with workforce planning, turnover analysis, and HR reporting metrics.
• Support colleague engagement initiatives and training development.
