Job summary

Humana seeks a Regional VP, Operations & Finance to own the regional P&L, drive strategic financial performance and oversee CMS bid processes. This executive will lead a multi-disciplinary team across Medicare and health services in the South Central region and collaborate with enterprise leaders.

In this role you will manage budgeting, forecasting, risk management and performance reporting while shaping strategy with providers and hospital partners to improve regional outcomes and margins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field is required.
• 8+ years of finance experience in health solutions with CFO/COO exposure preferred.
• Strong leadership with a track record of building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional market strategy development with operational leaders.
• Direct accountability for regional P&L and margin targets.
• Oversee policy design and implementation aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Establish controls by data analysis to drive cost containment and improvements.
• Lead the CMS bid process annually.
• Provide strategic financial analysis to support contracting and performance.
• Build internal/external relationships for knowledge sharing.
