Job summary

Humana is seeking the Regional VP, Operations & Finance for the South Central region (TX, OK and AR). This senior Health Plan leader is responsible for the regional P&L, oversees the annual CMS bid, and partners with Provider Network, Health Services and Network Performance to align strategy with financial outcomes.

The role requires deep knowledge of Medicare Advantage and Part D, strong budgeting and forecasting skills, and proven leadership to build high‑performing teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading regional market strategy with operational leaders.
• Direct accountability for regional P&L and budget targets.
• Policy/procedure design aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Data-driven controls: identify, track, measure and analyze performance.
• Lead CMS bid process with cross‑functional teams.
• Budget oversight supporting contracting and performance.
• Build internal/external relationships for performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional market level strategy development with operational leaders.
• Direct accountability for regional P&L and margin targets.
• Design and implement policies and procedures compliant with regulations.
• Establish controls by tracking data to highlight problems and drive improvements.
• Lead the annual CMS bid process for the region.
• Oversee regional admin budget and provide financial analysis for contracting.
• Cultivate relationships to support technical knowledge and performance.
