Job summary

Humana in the South Central region seeks a Regional VP, Operations & Finance to lead the regional P&L, finance planning and performance reporting. This role interfaces with provider networks, health services, and operations to align financial and operational outcomes with strategic goals.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in health finance, senior leadership experience, and strong CMS bid process knowledge. Relocation to Texas, Oklahoma or Arkansas is preferred; travel about 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Lead regional market level strategy development process with operational leaders.
• Direct accountability for regional P&L and achieving margin and admin budget targets.
• Direct the design and implementation of policies and procedures which result in increased performance, are properly integrated with other units, and comply with federal and state regulatory requirements
• Establish and maintain management and performance controls by identifying, tracking, measuring and analyzing data to highlight problems, prevent losses, contain costs and direct the development of process improvements
• Leads the annual CMS bid process
• Maintains administrative budget oversight for regional functions and provides strategic and financial analysis to support provider contracting and performance, health services and trend identification
• Cultivate internal and external business relationships which will serve as resources for technical knowledge and performance improvement
