Job summary

gourmet FOODS is seeking a CDL driver to safely drive and deliver customer orders. The role requires pre‑trip inspections, maintaining proper load temperatures, and efficient management of backhauls.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Valid CDL license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb a 17 inch step ladder.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre‑trip inspections, verify routes, counts and safety checks per DOT/FMCSA regs.
• Safely drive and deliver customer orders following all federal, state, and company protocols.
• Maintain proper load temperatures as specified in product specs.
• Unload products by hand or with a hand truck and place items in customer storage areas.
• Verify deliveries, obtain signatures, collect payments when required, and communicate discrepancies.
• Manage backhauls per dispatch instructions and load efficiency.
• Complete post‑trip tasks: unload returns, submit paperwork, perform vehicle safety check, and park securely.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and professionally handle complaints.
• Promptly report accidents, injuries, or equipment damage.
