Job summary

Ryder is seeking CDL-A drivers for regional routes across the Bay Area and surrounding states. You will drive a tandem axle sleeper tractor with a 53' reefer, delivering food-grade products on a regional schedule.

Expect 50–60 hours per week with a start window around 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and weekly earnings around $1,600+. Paid training is provided along with medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days, 80 hours PTO in year one, and various benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license
• 9 months of experience in past 3 years
• CDL without automatic transmission restriction
• Minimum 21 years old
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check (last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test

Responsibilities

• Deliver solo to Bay Area CA, NV, AZ, UT, OR, WA on a regional route
• Operate tandem axle sleeper tractor with 53' reefer trailer
• Follow dispatch start times and schedule (Wed–Sun, 11:00 AM–1:00 PM)
• Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and safety checks

• Earn $1,600+ per week
• Driver positions pay weekly
• Hours per week: 50 - 60 hours per week
• Hourly pay: $30.00 per hour
• Per Diem: $50.00 with 4 - 5 nights out per week

• Equipment: Electric/manual pallet jack, lift gate, hand carts
• Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight: Touch - Food grade products
• Cannot accommodate auto restrictions

Requirements:

• Valid CDL-A
