Job summary

Ryder is seeking CDL-A truck drivers for regional routes around Bethpage, NY. Earn $1,900+ per week with an hourly pay of $33.00, plus paid training, medical, dental & vision after 30 days, and 80 hours PTO in your first year. Start time varies and routes cover the Northeast area from Bethpage.

Trucks include sleeper, day cab, and 26' straight models. Uniforms, boot allowance, and 401(k) with company match are offered, with driver safety and reliability being core to the role.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required.
• 9 months driving experience within past 3 years.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Deliver solo to the Northeast of Bethpage, NY.
• Regional trips up to 1 week.
• Operate sleeper, day cab, and 26' straight trucks.
• Follow Ryder safety and compliance procedures.

• Trailer Type: Dry van, Reefer, Flatbed 48', 53’
• Equipment: Manual or Electric Pallet Jack
• Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight: Touch - varies
• Would cover multiple Ryder accounts

Requirements:

• Valid CDL-A
• 9 months of experience within the past 3 years
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
