Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Itasca, IL, is hiring a Local Truck Driver (Class-A) to handle regional deliveries within the Midwest area. Base pay ranges from $27.00 to $30.00 hourly, with benefits and a strong focus on safety and customer service.

The role emphasizes compliant driving, load securement, and coordination with dispatch to meet tight schedules. Prior DOT experience and a valid CDL A are essential for consideration.

Qualifications

• CDL A license required and valid in the US.
• Minimum 2 years CDL A driving experience within the last 4 years; 3+ years preferred.
• Meet DOT/FMCSA 391.41 qualification requirements.
• Experience with load securement and route planning.
• Strong customer service skills and careful cargo handling.
• TWIC and Hazmat are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive semi-tractor/trailers for up to 11 hours after 10 hours off-duty on runs of up to one week or more.
• P&D locally and back trailers to customer dock.
• Maintain compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and professional driving behavior.
• Communicate with customer representatives in a pleasant, respectful, and efficient manner.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and ensure DOT compliance including drug/alcohol testing.
