Job summary

DSV is seeking a Local Truck Driver to handle regional deliveries from Bensenville, IL. The role requires navigating routes within a defined area with professionalism and care, while meeting safety and regulatory standards.

Base pay is disclosed as $27.00–$30.00 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid orientation, and generous paid time off. A strong focus on customer service and cargo safety is essential.

Qualifications

• CDL A License required.
• A minimum of 2 years CDL A driving experience within the last 4 years; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in load securement, route planning and navigating various road conditions.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle sensitive cargo with care.
• Detail-oriented mindset required.
• TWIC - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives semi-tractor/trailers for up to 11 hours after 10 hours off-duty on runs of up to one week or more.
• PB&D locally.
• Backs trailers to customer dock.
• Maintains compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe driving behavior.
• Communicates with customer representatives in a pleasant, respectful, and efficient manner.
• Coordinates with dispatchers.
• Complies with all DOT requirements including drug and alcohol testing.
• Secures cargo and balances it within the vehicle.
• Ensure vehicle issues are corrected before driving.
• Applies tire chains in inclement weather when required.
• Swings and secures trailer doors.
• Performs other duties as required.
